Great job Ursula!

You seem to be spending more time in BC than Ottawa. :-)

Interesting shot, nice choice of color and grain. Without the title, the picture doesn't convey any conflict message.

BEAUTIFUL! But I don't see a conflict here except in the title. I see a magnificent animal ridden by (presumably) an experienced horseman in a great piece of open land! If that's conflict I'll take it and give up what I got!!!

I really like this shot although I don't understand the conflict totally. Nice composition, lighting, I also like this in the light Sepia that you have it in. 9

Cowboys and horses, hobos and trains.
They're gone forever on the rails and the plains.
Cowboys and horses, hobos and trains.
Lord I'd like to see them again.

Great picture of inherent conflict. I love the spaces you've captured and the leading lines. Good job!

Light is good and idea is easily recognized. You have a road encroaching a horse's domain. A vehicle approching a horse on a road in "the city" would have changed it all around but still have you successfully full filling the assignment. well done.

Georgeous shot (is that how you spell georgeous?)
Anyway, this is wonderfully well composed and exposed. The leading lines of the road and fence and layers of background mountains make this a top shot. This probably won't get the score it deserves because people are looking for more obvious physical or even emotional conflict, rather than conflict between elements of the photo. That's just my guess though and I hope I'm wrong. 9

Wouldn't change anything about this photo. It has a great bittersweet and peaceful feel about it. It's hard to choose this week, but you get my top vote for the week.

Reminds me of where I was raised. One of my favourites this challenge - gorgeous, crisp, and perfectly titled. I'm curious as to where this was taken; can't wait to see.

Would have worked better if the horse had been pointed more toward the camera.
