by  IreneM. Thanks Irene for the inspiration.From the moment I saw this pic I wanted to try it myself, indeed it was almost going to be my November Free Study till this challenge came up. Tried originally to do it for the S-Curve challnge a while back, but wasn't happy with the results. But the idea festered in my head, waiting for a complementary colours challenge. Ah, bliss!! The first time I've ever had a challenge entry before the challenge actually started lol.
Unfortunately, I had sensor dust :-( (See thread I posted here) Which I had to clone out, but only after rereading the rules again to make doubly sure I could ;-) I'm still not quite sure even though it says I can, guess I'm one of those cautious types lol
Apart from that, did noise removal, levels, USM, and a nifty HSL on the reds (also legal in basic and I'm not sure how lol) to get rid of the orange cast, think I had WB flash setting even though flash was off)
Don't like the dark areas at the bottom and on the right but can't seem to get rid of those. |

It is indeed a nice tribute and I like it a lot. The complimentary colours are wonderful.

| a nice tribute, I may have backed off of the wall abit. or a little shallower DoF field so the details in the wall were smooth. Also your file size is very small only 47 kb. In Paint shop Pro you should try to find a Save for Web function instead of the regular save so you can get more details in the photo. The max allowable file size is 150 kb, this would have made for many smoother details. |

| nice contrast of colors. maybe examine a lower angle to show the purple background behind the yellow sheets also? |
