Phone boxes, though iconic, are also preety boring examples of street furniture. I've adored this sculpture in kingston for ages, so i thought this to be a good example to use it as source material.

No editting other than a slight crop was done.

Actually, yours is no where near as sharp and is very overexposed. Stop getting jealous because someone else had a similar idea as you, but did it better.

Not exactly unique.

I published an almost identical picture on the FujiMugs challenge just four weeks before this one appeared.

This mine at //www.fujimugs.com/challenge/show_entries.php?challenge=17&entry=1548. Now I believe in coincidences but...

This sculpture is another artist's work. Probably something which, like all our photographs, is copyright. As a photographer I spend time educating my clients about copyrights and why it is illegal to copy my work. I see we still have more education to do, even within our own community.

Seeing someone elses composition and photographing it is just photo oportunism. It is is not even a fleeting image. Doesn't tickle my imagination.

Great shot!! Although those phone boxes look cool (compared to the ones in Australia :-)

Really fun image. You certainly captured an interesting shot of a mundane item (in England, at least). Fine work and congratulations on the ribbon!

You will have to explain what happened here. In terms of composition its great. The only thing I don't like are the light colored buildings on the left side, but its not like you can move them over :).

Well this is too well done to be mundane. Too bad you couldn't have used it in another category.

I really like this photo! Maybe it's the red, maybe it's the cool phone booths, not sure which, but I like this shot. Very clear and nicely cropped. Your eye is drawn directly to the upright booth on the end. Nicely done.

Great shot! I'd love to see that happening in reality. Lucky it was telephone booths and not Toilets..... Great POV and composition.

Where on earth did you find this setting, an outdoor artwork? Suits the challenge very very well. Maybe a lower crop would be nice (if it doesnt include something you don't want in the shot).

I like this, did you push over the phone booths to get this shot.

Such an amazing shot of such mundane objects! This had to have been a "right place at the right time" kind of thing (unless you pushed those over yourself). :) Fantastic job of surveying the situation and finding a dramatic angle to really get a good composition. I also just love the bright red of the phone boxes against the blander-colored background. This is a ribbon-winner for me. 10

Good photography - but not half as clever as the guy who set that up :-) I'm not sure about the narrow cropping - not sure that it doesn't actually lessen the impact of the shot. I'm sure there's good reason, but it does leave me thinking 'why cut off the bottom of them?'.

Where did you find these? I think I would have cropped the plastic sheet out - the point would still have been made!

Woow! What an effort for an image!
I hope you brought all phone booth back where they belong after making the shot ;)
BTW: great shot right on the topic. A 9 from me.
