I have found this bonquet of Turkish Hazelnuts in our garden, while I was walking around to photograph snow-flowers. I liked the shapes very much here, so I used a white sheet as background, natural lights and I overexposed a little bit the photo. I have helped the white background with selective colour adjustment. After this procedure I have placed the nuts back under the tree just to let them be with their friends. :-)

PS: crop, resize, flip vertical, selective colour adjustment (whites / cyan, magenta, yellow, black -100)

I've never seen them with their husks before ... thanks for posting. I think I'd use a more subdued background or crop tighter -- there's a little too much "glare" for me.

You must have had a fun time trimming this!! Background too white. But not bad.

Very nice. They sure make an interesting photo. Living in Oregon I see them [Hazelnuts] all the time.....these really are unusual.
I think you lighting/background choice is excellent. Nice job....good entry.

this a very different take on a simple subject.....it really caught my eye! I like the stark white background, and the detail in the subject. I am giving this a high score...

The harsh white background highlights the spiky nature of the leaves - leaves (no pun intended) one feeling uncomfortable - if that was the intention, well done!

Very pretty, I like the soft lighting. What was the bouquet sitting on for the shot?
