 Shot RAW, converted/processed in PSCS3.

Cropped/rotated slightly.

Adjusted in colour first (regular stuff). Then I kept only the red channel. Then I lightened corners (sort of like a reverse vignette), and blurred the corner areas some. Then I converted to grayscale, 8-bit, and then duotone (using a very light salmon/pink for the second colour).

After that, I reconverted to RGB (don't know why). Adjusted more, dodged/burned a bit in 50% gray layer in soft light, USMed in selected dark tones, final adjustments, added border, resized, sharpened, variations to make sure I didn't have any hot spots, final/final adjustments, saved.

Eh! Another day, another flower. I like flowers, especially poppies. I also like very shallow DOF (and I don't care if it's not traditional photography).

Another beauty in your collection of awesome soft shallow DOF flora images, that you do so well.
This one really appeals to me, for the softness, and suttle use of duotone color.

Either Ursula or an homage, I imagine? Regardless, more effective in a duotone than I could have imagined. Great delicacy; reminds me of the old film star publicity stills. Really beautiful.
