| These definately have a lot of texture. I wonder how it would look if the frame was filled with the nuts. |

| Nice light and display of textures! One small crit: I find the amount negative space not helpful here, and would have personally liked a bit more of the peanuts in the frame. |

| Great closup of the peanuts. Really shows the rough texture in the shells. I like the off center composition of the bowl of peanuts. It helps to keep it interesting. The lighting in which the bowl disappears into the black background makes you focus in on the well lite subjects. "10" |

| Really liked warm tone of pic and texture, unfortunately lower left hand part of bowl is lost in shadows on my computer screen. |

| The large amount of negative space here is distracting. I think I would like it better if you filled the frame with the nuts which have a great texture. |

| Nice closeup of those peanuts showing great texture. Love the lighting. Compositionally, I rather wish more of the dish showed and less black at the bottom. But, of course, that's just my opinion. The border? Well, that white line does distract a bit from the fine photo... |

| Great minds thing alike . . . I used the same subject and title for my entry. Yours is a better photo though. I like your composition, lighting and border. Good luck in the challenge, this one should place high! |

| Not bad. Real feeling of warmth, like firelight. Detail and lighting are all as they should be on those nuts (boy I'm glad I didn't go with my nut idea). Placement in frame seems a bit odd - maybe your picture is way brighter than what I'm seeing (though I am gamma-corrected), but the bottom of frame seems to be dead space, and I don't see a compositional use for that. |

too dark. the bottom 1/3 of the pic is just blackness. the peanuts are too dark as well.
