Challenge: Foreground Bokeh (Basic Editing)
Camera: Canon EOS-350D Rebel XT
Lens: Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM
Location: England
Date: Nov 9, 2007
Date Uploaded: Nov 9, 2007

The 5D is at Canon having the sensor looked at (hot red pixel on every image) so Im using the wife's 350D, too tiny for my big clumsy hands especially with the monster 70-200mm L f2.8 on the front of it.

Black Squirrel, my new best friend.

est score - 6.2
dream score - anything 7'ish is fine.

the Fujifilm S5 pro was my 7 cam I so want to make a 7+ with the 5D, all in good time my dear, all in good time.

I like this and it's a whole lot better than most of the photos in this challenge.

Nice. Not quite as sharp as I'd like to see the squirrel, but a very nice image and great composition.

Geez, here's yet another black squirel.. Haven't seen them b4 except on dpc..
Nice image -- the green mold on the grave sets off the black squirel. The more i look @ this the more i like it.. The placement of the squirel is catching my eye.. You did a nice job w this shot..
Going to ck on the black squirels now .

Great angle and composition, and nice detail on the "thief." Bokeh is subtle but does help define this as a tomb rather than a bench or something.

There definitely is foreground bokeh, but, as it is, does it serve to enhance the image? IMO, there's just way too much of it. If you'd go in closer to the squirrel, and have just a bit of the foreground showing, maybe make the image from a slightly lower angle - it might give it more strength. Something to try. (6)

7 - Excellent perspective and nice use of fore bokeh (difficult challenge). With this composition and symmetry (which I think is excellent), very difficult, but for this challenge would like to have seen the fore bokeh 'stronger' somehow. Nice image anyway and really like the green. Difficult (just to use that word again), but there seems to be some slight gamma/something issues in and around the blacks, but could be my monitor.
