 First thought that came into my head for this challenge. Not very exciting I know but hopefully will do OK - above 5 I hope (can't stand those 4's). Reminds me of the Adams Family where Morticia would cut the roses of the stems and put the stems in the vase.

Trying to keep the reflection off the glass vase was difficult, not a lot of light and shade in this shot so that will be mentioned in comments I'm sure.

YAAAAY, 7th position, my best yet - I'm soooo happy.
Got a couple of comments on the floor boards but I had tried to get this with a black backround couldn't seem to get it to work. Suggestions on the best way to do this would be much appreciated.

Outstanding idea. My only gripe is the wood. I would love to see this a little more lit and on a pure white background. I suspect you will get better color out of it. just my $.02

The floor is a bit of a distration, a neural environment would have put the focus cleanly on the flowers. Nice colours and good idea

Nice colorful flowers, seems to accentuate the green of the stems. Lovely composition that captures your attention. This should top ten.
