Camera: Sony DSC-S85
Location: Hilo, Hawaii

With the high number of entries maybe I should've done something that would've stand out a bit more?

Shot in black and white because it shows off the texture of the tomato more than color does. Used water to give off a rough type of feel to an otherwise smooth object.

nice to see this in black and white - makes it stand out somewhat. think the shadow isn't great, but the other 95% is!

Interesting choice to use B/W. It does justice though.. cool shot, very clean.

Why the B&W? I can't imagine that this image would have been worse in color.

Very nice, like the choice of B&W too. Nice and clear, good details...

This is amazing looking. The light is wonderfully soft, and the blown out background is great, it really hilghts the curve and leaves of the tomato.

I am absolutely enthralled by your choice to make this a black and white. Not many people would have the guts to do it and I think it was an outstanding choice. 10

Probably as good as it gets for showing texture with an inherently smooth object. Nice composition, too. 8

Having it in black and white definitely brings out the texture. Nice focus

beautiful but is this texture or shading/light?

I like it, but it doesn't wow me. Good lighting and composition. Focus is right on. I might ilke this one better in color, but black and white is okay.

Good sense of feel and shape - a touch of the bizarre added by excellent b/w conversion, really masterful use of digital imaging. Framing is satisfying too. Good work indeed.

I'm back to comment. The B&W works really well, nice details and wetness. Good job...

This is a great photo, and although the black and white brings out the water textures, it would have been much more appealing in colour.

Nice one. Not crazy for the light/shadow, but a good shot all in all. Good luck to you in the challenge.

Very nice exposure and composition. I'd have cropped the right side a bit more but still very nice.

+ Good choice of B/W. The waterdrops bring interest to the photo and the composition and choice of POV is very good.
- Can't think of any.

Very nice, I like how you added texture with the aid of water, neat idea by taking an object that is pretty much textureless, and creating texture with water which on its own, also does not contain any texture.
