one of the better golf ball shots. Good balls too those Nikes.

One of the better golf ball depictions.

Very simple, very effective. Good job, these kinds of photos can be hard to do well but you've done it. I like the crop too...

yes!

I'm back to comment. Nice detail on the texture. The lighting is great. A black BG would have looked better in this photo :)

Keep it up...

Other then the right side being blown out, I really like this shot.

I like the composition and cropping. Dimples seem to lack depth - could be the angle of the light?

Nice detail, good lighting, the nike sign looks too fake. i had to score that down.

Good focus, lighting and texture. Composition and subject really don't do anything for me.

Nice balance in the composition.

The Nike logo actually looks like it is pasted onto the image :)

I like this image in every respect except for the swoosh and the numeral "2". Both look pixellated and over focused and that distracts from the overall excellent quality and composition of the rest of the image, especially the dimples on the golf ball.

Wow! Makes me feel like I haven't looked closely enough at golf balls in the past.

Awesome focus and light. Here the shadow is working for you. Good job, good luck in the challenge. 9 from me.

Well seen. I would prefer Lihting being a bit less harsh at the right.

Exposure of pretty good (a bit blown out on right) and shows texture well but it's a terrible crop IMHO.

Excellent detail ing - even perhaps a suspicion of too much sharpening around the logo. Really brings out the shape and the 'imprintedness' of that patterning. Even the blown out right top of the ball works with your positioning of it. Just a touch unremarkable however ... not that the sheer competence of it doesn't put it in a league above the majority of shots here.

The lighting really makes the shot here, it's great.
02/18/2004 01:54:23 PM
I wish the nike sign were in the back, it distracts the eye from the nice texture the ball has, and this aint a advertisement challenge :) nice one otherways.

Great idea. The light is great and the dimples make me feel the texture. Meets the challenge to the point. 9

this is the best golf ball in the challenge

Crop is too tight, and it is a little oversharpened, but, this is a good shot with nice detail, good shadows. Good choice on DOF.

good shadows, fits the subject of texture well. not sure I really like the complete bleaching out of the pure whites. Overall a good picture though, well focussed, interesting crop.

Very well done...I like the sharpness of the dimples, the negative space on the left and the framing of the ball. Nicely done, I hope you ribbon!
