This is a wonderful sweet bread. The recipe was passed down to my mother from her mother-in-law. It is braided on top and very light and delicious. My grandmother made it for every holiday or special occasion. My mother continues the tradition. I have tried making this bread but mine is not as light and wonderful as theirs.

This is very mouth watering..We always had it at Christmas time and it is so delicious.

Excellent shot, very appealing. Real butter in the back would be better, Parkay? no...

How about the recipe? Is that going too far?

Nice textures! Iit appears to be a bit oversharpened via USM

The plastic container seems to be out of place, I love the texture of the bread & butter though

Wow! This entire photo's focus is so sharp I almost cut my eyes on it!!! Reveals good texture, although I'd prefer a beautiful female hand-model to spread my margarine in thick sensual S-shaped patterns.... er, I'm off subject, aren't I? Nice shot! :)

There are some artifacts on the margerine label, but, otherwise, this is a good shot. Very crisp.

very home and rustic - could easily see this on an advert for bread/butter. 9

Very good on texture, especially on the un-buttered bread. Looks enticing. Keeping the plastic "Butter" in shot is a weird choice perhaps, as far as a dpc entry goes anyway.

Great example of texture. I think a little light cast on the subject would have helped brighten a somewhat flat composition.

Very well taken. Lose the Parkay bowl and throw the knife into the picture and I might like it better.

I thought someone might do a bread shot. This one is good but composition details I think could have made it better. I would have darkened the tone just a bit, got rid of the plastic Parkay bucket and opted for something prettier....a small dish of jam or something perhaps, and shown more of the crust of the bread.

Looks good enough to eat. Bet it's even better with real butter!!!

Would make a good ad photo, with a bite out of it,
Thinl I'll go eat, now.

Ahhhh, nice very nice use of natural light and colors. The subject has many nice features....Hmmmm, now I'm hungry...I must say this shot works. Great shot! But just one thing tho, wipe the rim off of butter. Needs to be cleanner. If this is a shot for an add. They would and glue things to the bread. :)

Super texture on the luscious sliced bread. If it was mine, I'd probably hide the advertising on the tub (or substitute something else), but it isn't mine, it's yours and you've done a fine job on the focus and composition of this image.

i like the bread and the buttered bread - the butter tub needs to go. nice crop - just the right amount in the three corners without the butter tub.

Very nice textures! I love the clarity in this shot, very nice. I do feel though that the lighting is a tad harsh. Try playing around with different lightings because that can make a HUGE difference in a shot's appearance. Good luck!

is taking poor photos a family tradition?
