 lightning strike a short distance from home. converted from raw, crop, cloned out some trees/leaves in the lower left corner.

basically a lucky shot, we were having quite a few lightning flashes over that week, and this was taken standing just outside the front door on a tripod.. hit the shutter button when i thought i saw a flash starting, this was the cream of the crop.

Difficult, but perhaps a bold crop to eliminate the tree may have produced a stronger image, if the quality was there. Maybe a tweaking of the levels/colors/saturation to get more 'depth' too. Good range of colors captured in the lightning.
