On the advice of my DPL teammates, this is edited alot. And cropped. And edited some more. I'm hoping it's not a complete mess at this point....

I'm taking a print (the version before DPC editing) to the gentleman when I go to the bazaar again - he asked for one when I took his picture.

As with a lot of the other portrait pics you have here, i am drawn in by this man's eyes. I find the slanted lids and the wrinkles particularly interesting.

Very interesting character. I really like the crop. And I like his eyes the way they are. I keep trying to see into them, and I can't. It makes me wonder what he is seeing. I'm also curious to know what you did in the processing.

I like this guy a lot, Deb. I would have used the original "basic editing" levels, but pimped the eyes more like this version, and used basically this crop (maybe crop a little less tight). But it's really good already, so I may be full of it.

I thought this deserved a higher score. Very nice of you to bring a print back to the old man =)

Deserved a much higher score IMO.....

I think the darkness in the original draws the eyes to his face more than this lighter version. I actually really like the darkness a lot. I agree on his expression also.

I'm with Art - basically a good photo that dissappeared in the crowd. My only thought is that 'pimping' his eyes may have made it jump out more - whiten those whites and mybe even add colour to his iris.

This is a good portrait, Deb. Just suffers mostly from the nearly 600 entries in a FS. Middle of the pack and 5.7+ is very good though. If I was to change anything just for a higher score, I would go for tmore of that darker, grunge / Lucis Art look - more depth in the wrinkle on the face. One other observation is that his expression does not help the photo - it looks somewhere between curious and an angry "WTF?".

Hope that was helpful.
