 OMG I AM SOOO PROUD OF THIS!!!!!!!!

Joayh found this birds eggshell on the ground. There is no trees nearby where she found it so we dont know how it got there!

Of course I had to take lots of photos! First of all it was early evening and the light was dim but I am getting much better at working in maual on this and was able to find a good setting ;) Then I had the brainwave of putting the shell on my windowsill which gave a nice white background.
I opened this in my raw viewer and started playing with some of the settings and noticed pumping up the exposure gave it a really nice high key effect which then made me think of one of my favourite photos form the challenge .
So I though I would try and make the bold move of trying to emulate snowflakejen's glorious photo.So i opened it in photoshop did the old gum thing adjusted some of the settings, Curves twice levels once and waalaa!
DID I MENTION HOW PROUD I AM OF THIS!!!!

Of course it is nowhere as good as snowflakejens but for me it's really good! Roz is helping me with the edit of another photo ma yet to post and I have leant alot which I have used here :)

Even though the lighting may be bright at the top of the egg, I like it that way! Gives it a cool feel and the grain with it..wow, this is very nice work. To me not everything has to be perfect. those imperfections really give personality to a persons photos. Makes them different, which this one is.

You should be proud of this lovely, softly shaded image!! You did it!!! The processing on this is steller! Wish I could do this. Lovely job, just lovely!!

WOW charlie i love wot you've done with the poor little egg !! .. the colouring you've done is brilliant and the grain works so well .. it gives it a more abandoned feeling to me .. old and abandoned .. you should be proud of this coz its excellent .. :)
