I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to vote this challenge - it seems to hold a lot of gems. I note that Michelle didn't like the branches - I rather think they fit very well, they serve to show a fractured view of what one would assume (given the title) is a fractured soul. I also see you're into masking these days - a skill I need to learn, I suppose. Works well with the warmth of the leaves against the coldness of the sky.

I really like the composition here. The color of the leaves and the complimentary lines. It all seems to work very well together.

Love the selective masking. The black and white does add nice drama to the pic, as well as the outstretched hand to indicate despair. Too bad the branches are there - it cuts into the area where the prayer is being directed.

I like how you have the leaves in the foreground. I can feel the persons despair.

Very cool shot Don. The selective desat is very effective and this meets the challenge well in an OOB sort of way.

Sorry, I feel really lame. I can't figure out which way the person is standing, nor why they appear to be on their cell phone. I like the combination of color and desaturated elements. Branch in front is distracting.

I wish I could see where she is jumping to. Regardless, I feel like the branch in the front is distracting and you should try to bring out the shadow detail on the bridge.
