I shot this in one location and thought it looked pretty good. Woke up the next day and thought it looked like crap and decided to try it again. There was very little editing done. So I am hoping this one might hit the mid 6's...but we'll see...

Thanks to everyone for the comments. As for the comments on the gun looking 'plasticky' thats because it is. The gun is a Springfield Arms 9mm XD. The guns frame is a composite resin. The only thing that is metal is the barrel and the upper slide. Everything else is.... well... not metal. I was trying to get my hands and the gun to stand out from the body, but like everything else maybe that was a bad idea?

Very nice. The gun looks plasticky though. And the bright flash on the gun and the hands does not help either.

The gun looks very plastic... perhaps you shall have picked a better one.

And to be honest, a type of picture I never want to look at. Really, I don't find it appealing to have a gun pointed at me, or to look at a picture of a gun pointed at me. Technically, the focus on the end of the gun looks spot on. I think I would prefer a shallower depth of field. I'm also not a fan of the colors.

I definitely do not like having a gun pointed at my face.

the highlight distracts, also the pistol looks like a toy gun
