 I had a few different ideas for this challenge and went out to start shooting. The location is the same as in my "Magazine Cover" challenge entry.

I shot about 150 photos in 40 minutes. I made the cross out of two twigs and dental floss & used a plastic flower to drop from my hand. Shot in burst mode to capture the flower falling. Cropped, converted to duotone, and sharpened.

Beautiful... But there is a lot going on. The trees in the background provice a contrast, but is not needed. They actually take attention away from the rose and the cross. Well done though!

Good use of sepia tones, very well done and interesting image, I like the black glove and the simplicity of the cross...the icy scene adds to the feeling of loss.

I enjoyed the entries to this challange, but few of them struck me as "letting go". This one does. The choice of sepia adds to the feeling.

A moving image, well composed. I'm not keen on the colour toning of the black and white. I think straight black and white may have had more impact for me.

Sepia tone doesn't work for me. I think B&W would have been better choice. I like the idea though, good interpretation of theme
