 How do you choose one image from the 1,200 taken on our Kenya Safari? I love this little chap, so bright and colourful.
I hope you do too!
Apart from a crop to suit and a little sharpening, this is pretty much as it came out of the camera.
I had to use my x2 multiplier, so the focal length was 400mm - thank goodness for IS!

Are you sure this bird is real. I still can't believe how funny shaped he is. His beak is as big as his body. To cute!

Wow, I really love the colors in this! The bird is so pretty, and a nice contrast against the backgroun and the stump he is standing on. Just lovely.

Lovely capture, the photo may be a touch oversharpened but it may be the light. Great backgroung and lighting. well done!

I like the composition and blurred background. With a bit more overall saturation I think the bird would pop even more.

What a little cutie. I wonder if a curves adjustment wouldn't really enrich the overall tones. The bird seems almost too saturated against the paler background. The focus and DOF are spot on. ;~D

What a beautiful bird! Beautiful colours and great pose, wonderful composition. I am a bit let down by the technicals, though. It seems washed out and dull. A bit more contrast would do wonders for this.

A great subject and a well composed photo. However, it isn't particularly sharp and the orange/red of the beat and the legs appears unnaturally saturated.
