neat image, levels, resize, sharpen. that's all. I put a macro fisheye on my macro lens... backwards. That's where I got the soft effect.

The sun was setting, so the light wasn't great. Thus the high ISO. I had on a tripod, though, so I suppose I could have gone for a longer exposure.

Very neat shot Don. I agree it does look like it was shot underwater.

this is so beautiful. i agree with erin and yanko, this has a very serene dream-like look, yet makes you feel claustrophobic at the same time. i love this contrast. briliant capture to achieve this balance.

Otherworldly. Great title to go with it.

Cool underwater effect. The dominant shadows make it feel claustrophobic, almost panic like.

I saw this during the challenge and my first thought was that it looked like someone was photographing this underwater, looking up. And everything was kind of swirling down. The soft light creates a beautiful dreamy feeling.

I gave this an 8, it had a lot of appeal for me - you somehow managed to get that ethereal glow, which in other images is often used to make a shot "pretty", and coupled it with encroaching shadows and a whiff of menace. Soft focus, and yet it teeters on the edge of nightmare - genius!

I love this because it makes me feel like I'm seeing through Ophelia's eyes.

Has aa nice dreamy feel. It also gives me the feeling that I am under water and I am looking up at the leaves on top of the water. I very interesting experiment.

I like the soft focus effect that you got here. I think a little brighter may have help to bring a glow to the leaves, but when questioning falling you don't always think of such things. :)

That is a lovely effect. It looks very much like a foggy morning shot.

Time to put the scuba gear on and clean the swimming pool.

This has a very nice dreamy quality to it - I love images reduced to shapes and light.

Truly a beautiful piece. It seems as though it's the view of someone underwater, trying to decide if going back up was worth disturbing the peacefulness of the leaves. Very interesting technique to get the softness, and I think the high ISO actually helped in this case.

ISO 400 with a tripod, makes me chuckle. Like the thought out technique of reversing your lens. This is actually a very cool photo. The textures of the leaf edges are enhanced by the two tone palette. It creates a nice serene mood. I'm actually surprised this did not score in the sixes. I would have given you a 7 myself.
