This isn't one of my best ones, but I'll see how it goes...

it was a sod getting the lighting right, there wasn't much light so I needed a slow shutter speed, but I was using handheld. The flash was bouncing off the surface of the game board, giving me horrid reflections.

I tried all kinds of permutations of shutter speed/aperture/flash etc when suddenly I went on a gut feeling and dialled in exposure compensation of +2EV. I can't get my head round this, but that evened out the light enough to make it acceptable.

Tricky choice of making my focal point the hotels, the car, or the writing. Chose the latter.

rotated, cropped, resized, colour balance, plus a couple of cycles of noise removal and USM.

Thanks for your comment on my recent challenge entry. This is good too. Apparently I wasn't the first one with the idea!

Hey Barry!
Great minds think alike....even on different continents!!
I enjoyed the British version of the Monopoly Board...I laughed when I first saw it! You're Mayfair and we're Boardwalk! Funny we both pick the car piece too! Vrrrroooom!

I think your version would have scored better if you had taken a different angle, instead of straight on.

Keep on shootin'...you're doing GREAT!

You Brits have a different board than we have here. Are those London streets? I'll have to say I like the lighting and corner POV on the other Monopoly picture better.

I love seeing a British Monopoly board. Perhaps you might try a crop of this where the red border of the board would be the bottom.

The color seems off and it could use some cropping.
