Didn't have a clue what to do for this challenge. Two days before the challenge was due to start, I stood in the supermarket looking at all the candy, sweets, chocolate and suddenly the old TV advert on Milky Way came to mind.
I thought that just floating it in milk would be too boring so I bought a load of Milky Way and plenty of milk and started experimenting.
Made a FINE mess throwing the bars into the milk.

Post challenge:
WOW! THANK YOU!
In a couple of the comments I was asked how many Milky Ways I had to eat after doing this shot. Well, after being taken out of the milk and rinsed under the tap loads of times before being thrown back into the milk they looked really blotchy, greyish and VERY unappetizing. I couldn’t even get my husband to eat them ;-) so I had to throw them away.

Just curious what did you use for lighting on this shot. I noticed a f/stop of 16 and shutter speed of 1/500s. I'm assuming a flash of some sort. If you could reveal your secrets it would be greatly appreciated.

Haha...probably true you know? ;) It's a great shot. Congrats!

LOL! Hey, that's a really good idea, do you have a car for me to experiment with, or a swimming pool, or both? ;-) Mind you, I don't know if my SB800 would get the lighting quite right....;-)

Thanks everybody for the super comments!

excellent stop action shot -i could really see this on an advert. how many milky ways did you need to eat to get this shot!? One thing is the bottom left corner - the lighting seems a little dark in this corder - probably due to the very close crop

More like it. A lot of the other pictures have been thoughtless but i like this. You can tell you put the time in to capture that just right. Great focus, which i know is a bugger on these kind of shots.

If i was going to be critical i would say it needs a bit more contrast to define it more but otherwise I love it.
