My hands at a cafe this morning, lit by multiple small overhead lights. I liked the way my hand cast two shadows, one seemingly "normal," and one looming in the background, reminiscent of the Mad Magaazine cartoons where the shadow acts out what the character wants to do/think but can't. Title comes from the old mystery series tagline; it is the answer to the question "Who knows what evil lurks in hearts of men?"

I also liked how the texture of the tabletop reminds me of the ridges and whorls which comprise our fingerprints.

Handheld macro (after the coffee), Cropped out a bit of unnecessary background and foreground with s slight rotation; one tone curve for contrast; sharpened to show the ridges.

Thanks for reminding me of this one. I just looked at the scores and it actually did better than I remembered (or expected).

I'm not sure what the shadow knows in this picture, but it sure makes for an interesting photo. Good depth of field.

Interesting texture, nice colors. Tiny distraction from the foreground being out of focus.

would have worked better on a non textured surface

The pastels together with the undulating mesh textures make this a lovely juxtaposition. If the light, although well captured here, were closer to the -golden hour- the apparent narrow depth of field, I imagine, would be more dominant, and I, for one, would dance in my shirt. ;-)

Nevertheless, a very satisfying capture, and a -potential great-, a fact the present title cannot reflect.
