 Not sure how this will do in a free study, but I like it :)

Thanks everyone for the comments and votes!...I noticed that more voters are not liking this kind of manipulation, but I think this is what expert editing should be about, plus it gives me a chance to try something more complex. :)

4 images where combined to create this, the background, branch, chameleon, and butterfly wings. After merging everything, I did some dodge and burn, brightness contrast, sharpening, and added the little glow thingies LOL

This is very creative and IMHO it IS what expert editing is about. Creating a fantasy like this brings in to a world you created for us and takes us away from our dreary reality for a moment. You did a fantastic job with this and I am adding it to my favorites.

love it, don't let the negative comments on "digital art" bum you.. there is an "expert editing" competition for a reason; allows for a different kind of creativity.. great job!

Very creative fantasy image. I wish that back foot didn't still look like it was curled around something as it detracts from the illusion of flight. Maybe he should have been carrying something with it ... or maybe that's just his pre-landing position.

Interesting, but looks a bit too unrealistic for my taste as a \"photograph\". However, I'm sure there's a market for this somewhere. Good luck.

Sorry but this is what I call digital art, I know it´s legal and all that but I personally don´t want to see these type of images at DPC, I want to see stuff that look like real photographs and think expert editing should only be used to paste in backrounds behind people or HDR and stuff like that, not blend two animals together. Voted a 3.

Very clever work. Might have worked better for me if he was actually resting down on the branch rather than sitting just above it. It looks like his claws are ready to be holding it. The wings would not have gone unoticed if he was resting down. 9
