I like the way the light glows through the wings. Lovely colors and background but I think the heavy border is a bit overwhelming.

I am drawn to the sharpness in the wing (his left, right as I look at it). I don't want to be drawn there; I want to see those little antennae, I want to explore the taking of the nectar, I want to see color and light. But I can't, I'm forced by my dull eyes to explore the sharpness in that one area. But as I do, I see more and more, delightful shades and shifts of light, color, lit from behind but never overwhelmed, delicate fitting together of life and beauty. Wonderful capture, delightfully presented.

The backlighting makes the wing look like stained glass. Nice job on the lighting and the capture.

Pretty colors. Would've fit nicely into the blur side challenge, as the blur encourages me to expore the colors and shapes more than worry about sharp edges.

Need more DOF, only 20% of the wing is clear.

this is interesting but bokeh does appear to take over the whole picture as the moth is quite unfocused in places. The hevy border also doesn't seem to help.

Excellent detail. And I like the juxtaposition of the background with the moth's camouflage.

Very nice backlighting. Focus could be a little sharper.

good backlight in this shot as it really makes the wings light up. I will say that the head and some of the wing is oof on the butterfly which distracts from the wonderful colors on the wing. A deeper DOF could have really helped this shot, imo.

Sorry but in my opinion, the focus is supposed to be on the butterflies head, this is something I would throw away had I taken it but only because I feel the focus is way way off, the rest, like lighting and composition is good.

Nice lighting but let down far too much by lack of sharpness which distracts from the image too much as too does the white thing on the right of the frame which takes our eye away

Nice backlighting but the subjects seem out of focus.
