The storm looks powerful enough to cause urban renewal. You really captured the power of the storm and the luminescence of mother nature bearing down on the urban landscape.

Definitely unique and quite effective. It'd be nice to see more of the city lights but I'm afraid nature's light show has taken center stage here. I like the detail that's evident in the clouds and the rich blue at the top of the frame. Really well composed with the lightning strikes getting the "sweet spots" in the shot.

stunning - dramatic colors! Nice out of the box thinking - I hope people dont' criticize it too much for not being urban. Without the city, you wouldn't have that fiery yellow tone in the middle

Not marking it down for this, but it seems like it would fit better in the Rural Landscape challenge. I think it's an marvelous capture of a very stormy sky. Love the layers of the starry blue, the roiling clouds, the natural and artificial light, and the silhouette of the earth.

There isn't much "urban" in here; maybe this would have ben a better shot for rural landscapes. It's a great shot though, just misplaced.

great shot. but I think you are shoe horning it into the challenge. the primary focus of this shot are the clouds and lightning/rain, not the city lights. would have been a 9 if it met the challenge. instead it is now a 4
