I saw this old Benz forlornly abandoned behind an American car body shop.

It still manages to look regal, doesn't it?

The tree behind and the weed in front both serve to frame the car and heighten the sense of abandonment by contributing a sense of it being overgrown.

She still has a glint of shimmer in her eyes. I think you should rescue her!

You know, in some weird way I actually prefer these old Mercedes to the new ones... B&W works really well here. I like the low angle as well.

When I look at this I want to see the chrome glisten. However, the sky is dominant. In MHO.

I find the tree in the background to the right a bit distracting and it takes away from the sharpness of the rest of the image.

Well, your subject has it's own wonderful arrangement of shape & form & the light is creating some intriguing shadows. I like the difference in the headlights & the windshield & most of all I like that almost-white, plain sky & the level camera angle.

B&W was a good choice for this image. The car actually has kind of a spooky feel to me.

Very nice, only the sky looks so empty and white.

I really like the perspective of this shot, the glow of the metal looks great, it really works in black and white.

Congrats on a new top 5 AND in B&W, and hey, set your preferences to show 7 across and it'll stay on your top row a little longer! Looks rather California-ish to me - I'd have not known otherwise other than you live in Pennsylvania. She looks quite elegant indeed, even in her declining state, and B&W definitely suits this well. Great angle for the shot - it's what really makes it work in my opinion.

Nice composition with the weeds in front of the headlight. I gave this a 7, and I hate car photos!

Congrats Jeb, this is a terrific angle and a nice B&W treatment. I love the little weeds/plants in the front as it makes a rather simple shot extraordinary.
