Ok I must REALLY like you guys and want to play with you because you've forced me to show two firsts in one image:

1. Not Sharp - I feel like I've left the house without my signature Red Lipstick on.

2. Birds - I just don't DO birds - but now for your viewing pleasure apparently I DO!

Nice contrast in this shot. I like that one lagging behind, looking for his meal below rather than ahead.

Delightful tones and shades here, the gulls (whom from experience I refer to has "hamburger stealers" -- my wife had a burger stolen right out of her hand by one on Long Island) float, moving gently above the water, sliding easily in and out.

Excellent, Lisa!!!! I know exactly what you mean about taking blurry photos just making you feel out of sorts. Saturday, I was walking down the Riverwalk with my camera up shooting while I was walking, and I was getting so many looks like. . ."dumb amateur. . .don't you realize you can't get good photos unless you are STILL" :)

But you really should try the bird thing more often. You do them quite wonderfully. . .'specially for your first time. These are very good.

This is awesome! I love the color of the water which really makes the seagulls stand out nicely!

Got to agree, the water color is great! Even so soft you have quite a bit of personality in the birds. Nice job.

Has a nice feel and balance to it, and a gentle softness. Next time, get them even blurrier! The neat thing with shooting birds is even a 1/60 shutter speed will often catch a few of them blurry, a few of them more static. Glad you joined us!

I'm not much of a bird person either and look at my last two images. LOL I really like this. It has a nice balance. The blur is soft and we are able to see the various poses of the gulls. I love the sea color too.
