Believe it or not this was not taken for this challenge. My son and I were at the beach and I got this shot then decided after getting home and seeing the challenges for this week that this shot was good for triumph.

PP: bright/contrast, midtones, hue/sat, cloned out one sensor dust spot on the right edge middle, crop, border, resize and neat image.

Post: Several comments were about too much usm and I didn't use usm for this one. The stump he's standing on was in the middle of what was once a bonfire and the burned wood with the bright sun made it contrasty. I guess some liked and some didn't like the title. Oh well. Not as good a finish as I'd have liked but still made it to my front page so I can't complain. Thanks for the comments.

Well, I loved it - gave it a 7. Yes, the processing is a little distracting, so it wasn't a 10, but his expression, his pose, and the colors are all great!

Rofl...I love the title!! I really like the colors. Looks just a tad contrasty to me. :) Fun fit for this challenge.

Too much post processing for my taste. If I knew the boy, I might share his triumph, but since I don't, it feels like a snap to me. Sorry.

Obviously shot and titled by his Mom! Thanks for the laugh. 6

Look on the kids face is very good, I have to admit that title actually hurts the photo. Also don't care for the large radius USM or tonemapping or whatever the goofy effect is throughout. But the capture itself is a good one.

He definitely tells the story, doesn't he? The pp seems on the verge of being slightly over saturated.

Meets the challenge well but needs to be cropped a little and it is over-saturated. 5

Nice capture - Like the blustery feel to this and the saturated colours but the PP skills are too obvious. Maybe overuse of the USM

oversharpened a bit for me...
