Seems a little stiff? :P Kind of a documentary type shot - very static. Did you consider other materials to place the bug on? Some sand may have worked better if you're wanting people to wonder if it's alive or not. Dirt and leaves maybe even better. JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge.

It might be better if the rhinoceros beetle were facing us but still, I think it will certainly finish in the top 20.
