+4 Contrast.

I have made a dozen trips to this lighthouse for sunset over the past month and the conditions were never what I desired.. I had no plans on making the trip this night, but after scouting several other locations in the general area I ended up back here. I had no intention of shooting toward the lighthouse until I looked over head and saw how the clouds were going to finally streak right over the top. Hand Held GND diagonally.

Thanks for the comments.

Great angle for this shot with the pool of water and reflection right up front.

One of my favorite places in the world! The sky usually won't cooperate with me when I'm there! Very nice work here and a great example of how to make the suggestion of thirds really work well in the composition. Of course, capturing the light "on" is a must. :) 10

the reflection of the sky in the water rather than the building was the right choice. Just enough is there to give perspective on what you are seeing. The texture of the ground provides a welcome contrast to the sky and the lighthouse is a nice intermediate shape. I'd pick this as a ribbon contender.

ALways love the lighthouses. This has some really nice color to it. Bumping from 8 to 9.

7-Very nicely done, like the composition, it would benefit from a brighter foreground though

This is a magnificent wide-angle shot. It should be on a magazine cover somewhere... The only curiosity I have about this image is what else you tried while you were working this scene. I was just wondering if you moved forward a few feet and tried a few with the lighthouse reflection in the pool of water. I think that could possibly be something very strong as well... 10 from me either way :) Nice work...
