3 miniature roses, the largest being less than 2 inches across. These are all on the same plant.

Lit with a very small hand held flashlight only. I "flashed" it for a 2 seconds (aprox.) on each bloom.

USM, Brightness and Contrast, levels, selective colours all adjusted full image. Cropped/resized.
Some background burning is the only spot editing.

*Greetings From the Critique Club*

Beautiful Shot!!!

Composition:
This is a beautifully composed shot! I really enjoy the sense of balance this shot has, very well done. I particularly enjoy how you composed each of the different roses at different distances and a different angle at each, this makes it a very dynamic shot, aesthetically pleasing. I personally think the border works quite well here, it gives it a poster-like feel to it, especially with the bottom rose hanging over it, very nice touch.

Focus:
I realize with dark shots like these that focus can be really difficult to nail. Your two back roses have very good focus, but the rfont one I feel is a tad bit out of focus. It really doesn't detract too much from the quality of the photo, but if it were in crisp focus, then this would have been quite a whiz-bang shot.

Lighting:
This is by far the strongest part of this shot. The lighting is simply wonderful! The lighting brings out the different shades of yellow in a very bright and vibrant manner, increases the mood of the shot. Very nicely done!

Overall:
A very gorgeous shot! Really, there isn't much I could suggest to make this photo much better except for the focus on the bottom rose. Good luck on future challenges!

Hmmm.likee the idea of the framing with bottom rose going over the frame, nice touch....but you might thin about losing the bit of stem below the frame...it's a bit distracting. Very nice lighting , exposure and detail and I like the perspective of the roses from front to back.

i like the very bottom rose hanging over the edge of the yellow frame. but may be a different color line would be more attractive.. but i am sure you probably already experimented with diffferent colors and settled on the yellow..nice photo

Pretty flowers and nice composition. The focus is soft but otherwise okay.

Has the 3D look. Definitely a wall-hangar.

Very nice layout but the some of the edges of the roses look too "Photoshoped" and un-natural. Perhaps a more feathered selection might have helped. I do like how the rose overlaps the yellow border and think it's a nice touch.

This is a nice shot. I'm not really a fan of the yellow border, but I like the way the bottom rose overhangs it.

Very nice composition, but the focus seems to be a little soft on the bottom rose. I like the way your frame goes behind the rose ... nice touch!

Good lighting and the focus seems to be pretty even throughout the three roses! Nice setup also!
