The sun was near the horizon late on this afternoon, in the axis of the street I was crossing. And then I had this vision. Usually I don't care about pigeons, but this one caught my attention because he had beautiful blue eyes...

Perhaps a little less centered, but otherwise very nice. Good dof.

I hate vignetting but this seems to be an actual highlight on the street. It's thrilling to see a vignette that is the result of light and framing. The photo is so simple as to be crude, but its textures are complex. Are those petals on the ground? They are solid and liquid and starry all at the same time. The bird draws all the attention, but then while being stared at, it stops being a bird, and dissolves with its shadow into shapes and curves and lines... then rises up and becomes a bird again. 10

Wonderful lighting for this shot. I really like the symmetry of the bird's silhouette and it's shadow.

Fantastic crisp shadow and nice choice for street photography - what's a street without a pigeon? :)

quite intersting, IMO. I like that you choose to broaden the scope of the challenge and not shoot some random folks on the street. Love that the pigeon is backlit with the symmetrical shadow. Is that a bit of burnin' around the corners? Seems uneven. Will vote as if it is not tho since it is not overly evident. Awesome shot & good luck! 8
