thanks for all of the comments. i know the background building is cluttered, so the next time that i'm in the area, i'm going to retake the shot using some of the suggestions here. thanks again to everyone, i really appreciate all of the feedback & i am very happy with my finish.

the tunnel would have more effect if taken center-on, and slightly more exposed

I wonder what would have happened if you had used the curvy parts the repetitious curves) as your main point?

Good angle. Nice photo.

I am feeling very small here... i love the low camera angle and the detail of the photograph is great :)

I'm a total sucker for these kinds of shots. I like the low angle too! Was it to get more of the half-circles in there?
04/03/2002 08:31:00 AM
lovely. too bad about those red brick buildings in the background. could you have fuzzed themwithout comprimising the repeat?

Great image. The colors work well. And the building in the background, that I bet you wish wasn't there, actually ads a nice touch per the composition.

beautiful shot/angle.....

would have been stronger has a 'vertical' orientation shot. Could have lost more of the distracting buildings in the background with the camera held the other way round
04/02/2002 08:51:00 AM
I like how I am pulled into the photo. I wish you could get rid of the buildings in the background. Would it have given the same effect if you took the photo from the other side to eliminate the buildings? Still nice.

Haven't I seen this area in a movie? Nice work.

I like this one. It works well and shows good architecture.
04/01/2002 09:52:00 PM
The arches are nice. Would it have been possible to take just the arches and lose the big concrete pole on the left?
04/01/2002 12:52:00 PM
Nice pic!

Good shapes here, difficult to get a good composition though.
04/01/2002 10:51:00 AM
Very interesting view. A more head on view or at an angle toward the building might get rid of the other buildings. Otherwise, it is a beautiful pictures.
04/01/2002 10:34:00 AM
Wow... i love the repetition
04/01/2002 09:31:00 AM
Too bad the other building was there, could you have angled it more to hide it?
04/01/2002 07:44:00 AM
cool. i would have like you to get a little closer tho
04/01/2002 01:53:00 AM
Nice arches! after the challenge throw it in P/S and lose the building in the background
04/01/2002 01:20:00 AM
I get the idea, but I'm really distracted by the sky and the red buildings, as well as the base of the column in the foreground; shooting from nearer the column, getting some detail and the real weight of the stone, and being more in line with the walkway might be better
04/01/2002 01:13:00 AM
wow--the infinity takes me! maybe more to the right and closer to focus on the arches, otherwise awesome.
04/01/2002 12:46:00 AM
Cool prespective!
04/01/2002 12:13:00 AM
the distant red building seems to detract from it but all-around a good shot
