 Actually, my worst nightmare is falling off a bridge, and then drowning, but I couldn't make a picture of myself falling off a bridge without really drowning, sooo .....

Shot RAW, worken on in PSCS3

Cropped and rotated; Noise Ninja twice;
Worked on curves, selective colours, levels, hue/saturation;
Resized, USM, some more NN, some more selective colours, sharpened, some more NN, saved for web

Greetings from the critique club :)

First of all, congrats on the top 5 placement :) Is this a self portrait? Well not really all that much I can critique about this image, I think you hit the challenge head on and pretty much nailed it. To say anything, I don´t really care for the "Noise Ninja" or blurry look of the model but it´s not really bothering me at all since she´s underwater and it just kindof makes sense she´s sligthly blurry. You know me though, I usually want images tack sharp, hehehe :)

Other than that, top notch. I really like the color tones in the image, very fitting. Composition good as well as the lighting.

What to do to improve the score? Next time, throw yourself off the bridge :P Muahahahahaha!

Nice touch making the skin look lifeless. I think grain would have fit better with the theme rather than the score boosting smoothness you went with.

This looks so real, it's frightening. Congrats on your high finish!

(My nightmare is similar to this, except I'm driving a car that ends up in a river, and I can't get my kids out.)

WOW !!!!! what a cool shot. I had a dream about drowning once and I woke to find that I was actually holding my breath too and sweating... close call.. This is an image that stirs inner emotions for me... GREAT!

This was one of my top 3 in the challenge. Gave me the creeps somethin good. But upon reading this in your description - Actually, my worst nightmare is falling off a bridge, and then drowning, but I couldn't make a picture of myself falling off a bridge without really drowning, sooo ..... - I must say that I can now look at this image and kind of giggle. OMG Ursula, I never saw this, didn't get to finish voting Nightmares...oooh, this is such a strong image & very disturbing too, like the bathtub scene in the Shining. Whoa! this is a total new path for you!

Excellent image! WTG on 4th place- even without flowers anywhere in the frame, you smoke the competition! "Show-off"!! :)

Love the soft focus here, and the expression on the face is great. Nice job with the lighting. The bubbles add to the reality of the image.
