Thank you for your comments. I am not bothered by the score. It was more fun to take a traditional bird picture and make it somehow my own style. :) I am happy with the appreciation it has receieved. Perhaps I will try cat photography next...hmmmm.

The dark background and the shadows create an aire of mystery to this image, almost as if it was a painting. Beautiful shot.

This image seems a bit dark. In my opinion, closeup wildlife photos should show as much detail as possible.

GORGEOUS!!! The lighting is wonderful and the detail is great too. The pose and arrangement of feathers of this bird is exceptional. This is a work of art. 10

Excellent photo. I think this lighting creates a lot of interest. Crop is just a little tight for my taste, but it isn't hurting anything either. Nice work

Lighting is very dramatic. Composition is very interesting. Love the patterns of the feathers, very abstract. The tough of hightlight in the eye is awesome.

Too dark to me.

Wonderfully crazy shot. Just perhaps a touch too confusing and odd, especially in this framing - I think more negative space would give the shapes more room to 'breathe' if you understand me - this way, it gives the impression of being caged, of being forced into that peculiar pose, and I think that takes away some of the impact of the shot.

I really like this shot, neat contrast between the head and the balance fo the shot. Nice job! - Ideally I would have liked to see a bit more detail in the pelicans darker areas though.

Because of the dark parts in the feathers it becomes a very graphic image. I like it.

Color pallet works well, head is nicely positioned in the frame. Good texture on the feathers. Stronger lighting would help remove the shadow from the side of its head.

This is a beautiful image. The exquisite detail in the feathers is brought out by the use of strong shadows. The detail had to be good to bring it off. 10
