 i find myself often looking at our little katee and wishing or dreaming that i had her health, fitness, sense of fun and ability to be so in the moment .. i guess ppl will think this doesnt meet the challenge but for me it totally does .. i'm hoping that her bum, so in your face, doesnt offend some ppl ..
it was very difficult trying to get her focused and looking how i wanted her to, and i took many photographs over a couple of days specifically for this challenge... i'm not expecting this to do well, but it is close to my heart, both the dog and the dreams ...
these are some other one's i considered putting in the challenge .. it was a pretty difficult decision .. the images i particularly liked were the ones where the focus wasnt quite right ... and the one's where the focus was right then i didnt like her expression or something else just didnt work ..

Great focus and intensity in your dogs face...and a really great photo. You really like a challenge, trying to get an action photo with that shallow of DOF. Very well done!

Wow! You stopped the motion of the ball & dog, got sharp focus on both, but blurred the background. I suspect a long lens in shutter priority mode. Excellent job.

Great timing and focus...I wished there were a little more sense of motion however. Also, if the dog was facing the camera it would have been a better composition. 6
