Awesome use of high key. The effect it creates is astounding.

Beautiful submission for this Challenge. And a fitting runner-up to the winning image in the MS Tournament.

(Um, whose village did you burn to get the shot?)
:-))

Really, really loved the composition and processing on this - I was one of your 10s. Great job!

An apocalyptic scene - a well considered composition combined with bold post-processing that has produced an impressive and powerful photograph.

Edit: spelling!

This is cool. Perfect framing, composition, camera angle to get the foreground and landscape. Just looks like the whole image is overexposed a little much... lost some drama. That being said, being overexposed could work too... gives it a apocalypse look to it... like the bomb just went off. Tough one to vote... giving a 6

If this was just a little darker it would be perfect..I still really like it though.

Wow, seems way too blown out. loses the impact with the post processing you have used.

Reminds me of Bastogne from Band of Brothers.

You may get some people saying they don't like the overexposed/washed out sky but I think it adds to the sense of surrealism here. Well done.

This has real impact, although the high key effect doesn't really work for the scene, for me. I bet this would have been superb with different exposure or sepia toned.

Good idea - perhaps a bit too overexposed

though this is overexposed, your processing saved a lot of the burnt look. probably too artsy for the majority of voters.

Seems overexposed.

sky seems way overexposed to me - loses the contrast of the burn
