If you have a chance to read the SF novel "Cities in Flight", you will know that this is the most perfect cover. Fantastic combination of your astrophotography and great cityscape. I have a feeling of upward motion, like the city is going to space.

Cool! This is really well done. I would've boosted the contrast a bit and get the blacks blacker because it seems a little flat especially where the water is, but I like the composition.

I love this. If the moon was the earth it would have had more impact for me.

Not sure about the title. Is that how the sky looks from your planet?
07/02/2007 10:46:15 PM
Nice. The sun could use a glow rather than the hard edge though.

Very nice picture. I think the sun looks a little out of place in the photo. Without it i think the image would have been perfect. 7

The "moon" looks really great , it's very well integrated in the photo.

What a wonderfully beautiful image, however, I find three things that distract for me, the yellow orb seems a bit out of place, the blue neon building off center, and the lack of reflection of the moon in the water.

Nicely composed. I like the stardust effect. Perhaps the 'sun' is a little distracting. 8.

I can see the whole shot as a slow motion clip from a movie. All the building, land and water being sucked by the giant star. That yellow fella there doesn't stand a chance either!

First off, I think this image has a ton of potential, but I would make two recommendations for making it even better - that yellow orb at the top left really doesn't fit and detracts from the otherwise fine appearance of the image. The other thing, which isn't really neccessary but would probably look really cool, is to get a reflection of the moon in the water.

I see where you are going, and I think you did it well, but it is all over the place with the sun. I think you should have left it out.

In as weird as this challenge is, this is on the opposite side, and is truly a very well done composite. Bravo!
