I share Imagineer's impressions on all points but one: composition.
The near-central placement of the house suggests a degree of staticity which, IMHO, diminishes the inherent drama of scape(s). If the scape (both land- and sky-) is the emotional subject of photo -and I believe it is- the house would be more advantageously placed further left, for a shift in emphasis. This is also desirable for reasons of overall balance, since the horizon, as well, is running quite centrally. |

I always find it odd that people favorite pics and don't commment!
This is dramatic, austere and very well composed. I like the underexposed dark areas which emphasise the bleak condistions this property has to endure. |
