Larger would be nice

Too small to see the detail. Also, it would be better to place your main subject out of the center, fill the frame more, or both.

Colors are awful muted

Hard to tell from such a small copy. The very central placement of the main flower doesn't help either.

refer to the tutorial on resizing

From this view the central flower is lost against the background. A small depth of field might have portrayed what you had seen.

There are many factors that make this image a bad one, and I'll just try to mention two:
i) the size of the image is small. There are cases when even small images can have an impact, they look better as a thumbnail, rather than full sized. But, not in this case. The focus of this image is supposed to be the flower, so you need to show it in all its glory and beauty, or whatever the point of the shot it.
ii) the composition is terrible. There's a flower dead center, which isn't bad by itself, but then you have some other flowers fighting for attention, like the one looking to the ground, on the left. Also, the bottom one is cut in half, and this just makes this photo mutilated, instead of interesting.

There is something good on this photo: the separation of the subject by colour. Yes, your flower has a different colour than the background. But, this is hardly enough to make this an interesting shot.

Better luck in the other challenges.

Contrast is very harsh, to help control contrast try photographing in shade or during the hours after the sun rises or before the sun sets. Fill lighting can help also but there is a number of methods and takes some learning.

It may be a nice shot, but we really needed a larger photo to judge

Pleasing pic of a plethora of purple petunias.

I wish this photo wasn't sized so small. Hard to have an opinion with it this size.

unsure where is the focal point, light too harsh

too many distracting elements around the subject. very unbalanced lighting.
