This is the backside of a sand dollar I found in Baja Mexico. The dollars on this particular beach were all purplish-black instead of white, which I found interesting. This is the only one that made it back intact, am glad to find a use for it :-) I photographed it in my light tent with only ambient window light. Post included levels, curves, increased saturation to red and yellow channels in hue/sat, and selective color to increase intensity of blacks and whites.

You're just kickin' butt and taking names these days, woman! Very impressive. Congrats on the new #2. Everything on your top row (I show seven across) is recent. Really a tribute to the effort you've put forth.

Boy, this is a beautiful image. Looks jewel-encrusted. Lovely lines. Congratulations on making the top ten. You are really sky-rocketing in the score department. Must be all that DPL competition. And while I'm on that subject, your team had an amazing finish in the first DPL season. Imagine coming in second to the Ribbon Hogs.

Ooooooh, nice!!! Is it a leaf? I've never seen a leaf like that before though. The bumps make me think it's a sea urchin but sea urchins don't have those "branches" running through it. Maybe it's a shell? This is really good.
