Shot in complete darkness with a sound activated trigger attached to an external flash. I made the sound trigger from infornmation on www.hiviz.com.

No. I just threw it as hard as I could at the wall. The sound of it hitting set off the trigger. And then I got to clean up the basement. (Hey, better late than never on the response huh?)

Thanks for all the feedback I recieved. If people want I would love to write a tutorial on this type of photography. You can use it to photograph anything that makes a sound. I took a kids sing-a-long tape recorder and instead of having the leads go to the speaker, I ran them (with some circutry) to a flash unit. Whenever the mic picks up sound, it sets off the flash. In darkness, with a long exposure, the flash acts as the shutter, but the speed is somewhere around 1/50,000 of a second!
