I am VERY happy with this photo. This is a style that I have tried a couple times and failed miserably but now that I found these waterfalls I finally have a good enough subject to start out with and work with. My freind had this dress she got for about 15 dollars at a sale and was willing to go out into nature with and I just loved how it flowed. I had my camera on a tripod and used a relatively longer shutter speed which gave the whole picture a softness to it. This was taken at about 9:30 am on a cloudy morning, the sun was behind me but when she looked up the diffused sunlight caught her face very well and made her glow. For editing I basically went in hardcore with the burn tool and the brush set to "soft light" and the color black at like 30% opacity and just went all around her and darkened everything and because I had the saturation up kind of high on my camera it still preserved the coloration very well. I applied a little diffused glow to it which reacted REALLY well to her skin dress and the waterfall. Then after all that I just did usm a little and was done. Ohh this picture makes me so happy inside! :-D

I find this to be a really stunning image. Just gorgeous! One thing that is definitely really cool to me is, that it is kind of breaking a couple 'rules', but in a way that works wonderfully here, and I love it when people do that. First, she is looking off the frame she is close to, but it works here, it leaves me sorely wishing I was there with her, soaking in the full beauty of this place. Second, there are these dark areas, so dark that there is no detail, just blackness, but man, the black is in just all the right places, and makes the girl, the water, the greens and the rocks really, really pop out! It all comes together in just a beautiful, flowing composition. Your processing is lovely, I quite like it. On the verge it would seem of appearing 'heavy handed' to some tastes maybe, but to me, it feels very tasteful, and comes across as a style, that looks great, and not at all 'overdone'. I think the saturation is wonderful. The greens, and the hues of the rocks really punch through, and look great. The girl does have a wonderful 'glow'. The image does have a fantasy feel for sure. You definitely deserve, and should be very proud of this photo. I love it. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful masterpiece. :-)

exquisite colors. I love the golden color on the rocks, and the way it goes with the green. The color harmonies are beautiful - the white dress matches the waterfall, and the gold and green is in the rocks above and below, tying everything into a breath-taking, glorious shot. And the subtle tones... Wonderful! Definitely should have scored higher, but you never know with the voters! :)

The gold tones reminded me a little bit of this... sort of?

No wonder you are proud of this photo. It is stunning. Breathtaking. Does your friend just die when she sees it? I love the perspective she gives to the waterfalls.

All around. . .a wonderful BEAUTIFUL piece of work!

And congratulations that its one of your new highest rates photos. But you are so so talented, I think you will be bumping that score off very quickly! :)

Very dreamlike. I like the white of the falls and her dress being the lightest shades in the image. She is lovely. Her hair and profile top it off.
