I am guessing that similar can mean many things, not just a physical likeness but also a metaphorical similarity. A big thanks to those that got it..

I found this stunning picturephotographed by Ralph Steiner in 1935. In my own humble way wanted to try to reproduce it. Thanks to Target for having the clocks and the cups.
I have my fingers crossed on this one.

I think you did this very well and I think you were underrated. Par for DPC course.

I actually really liked this image. There was just something about it. Whether it is saying that as time ticked on through the day another coffee breaks my way!! I don't know...there is something appealing about it.

And a tribute to a famous photo, though I can't think of the photographer's name. Well done.

Not sure if it meets the challenge, at least not explicitly enough for the voters. Not voting so I guess my opinion doesn't hurt you.

Great photo, i love the almost isometric viewpoint. I hope you don't actually drink a cup of coffee and hit the snooze button six times before getting up. :)

What fun! I love the b&w and the idea is so entertaining! Very well done. 8

I like the starkness of this one, with all the shadows and various areas of black. I also like the metaphorical use of similar (coffee and alarm clock) instead of physical similarity.

I don't understand how this relates to the challenge topic?

nice composition, but i am not a big fan of such extreme lighting here.

The light/shadow is wonderful! And I like the pattern-like composition and the different times on the clocks!
A double take indeed, in more than one way!

I can see a lot more than two similar objects here - otherwise I like the tone of this - good job

Karen, I LOVE this. The symmetry is fantastic, the b&w conversion is just marvellous, and this is such a clean and crisp vision that it could very well serve to hang in a cafe. Great work from you, can't wait to add it to my faves. Sure, ok, some folk might get picky, but you essentially have only two subjects here, as far as I'm concerned. Good luck!
