Went in Grand Central Station to get a break from the snow/rain on sunday - stood there for a while taking it all in - as you will when you're from out of town - and decided to compose this shot. My main goal was to get a shot with people standing still while others had motion blur. I snapped a couple and this was my favorite representation of that goal. All comments welcome.

note - red increased and blue decreased to give sepia tone.

Now I see what the title means here. I didn't know it was refering to the name of a train station. Well done.

i might have cropped more off the bottom to make this seem like a bit of a wider angle. Otherwise, I love the choice of colouring and the motion blur of the people. It represents the fast pace and the anonymity. :)

Excellent take on a classic. I love how you've captured the hustle and bustle and the size and depth of this station. Tones are excellent too, but my own preference would be to have a bit more contrast and reduction of the glare of the highlights in the background, but then again, that may have reduced the light and airy feel you've captured. Very well done.

I like these types of photo.. and I really like this one for one reason, the lady standing still looking at the camera. That is a really nice touch, though I think I would have made her more prominent, either with a different crop or with some photoshop trickery.

Good job anyway, 8.

Good job. The sepia tone works well here. Also like the feeling of movement in the foreground.

Nice rendition of the overall scene, but the blur is really distracting.

Lovely sepia toned photo. This of all the sepia colors is my favourite. The movement in the foreground gives your image life. I just can't figure out how the title fits to the image though, or what it actually means.

I love the photo, but the moving people tend to detract from it.
Great shot though,
Paul.

This photo is visually stunning to me. I love the tones you chose and the lighting really makes the shot. Beautiful and a 9 from me.

It'd have been nice if you could have been centered in the room and made this shot symmetrical. Even so, it's a nice shot. I like the effect of most people moving but just a few standing still and coming in clearly.
