Found this little guy at work on the playground. Saved him from being trampled by 10 two-year olds and brought him home. Right now he's about the size of a mosquito, but I'm hoping soon he'll be big enough to defend my garden from all icky bugs!

Praying mantids are very cool. Would love to see the whole insect, especially it's front legs. Lighting needs to be diffused a bit.

Cool, I like the way they are watching you when I find them in the garden and the fact that you've caught that in this shot. Pity the matis wasn't clearer in parts but still a nice shot, I'm going to spend alot of time in the garden tomorrow.
