Well it was Bev's birthday on Saturday, Jaime and Tracey and I went with Bev to her new favorite restaurant in West Philly. We had a marvelous meal...Bev had shrimp with Wasabe Rice...she loved the rice! I had a wonderful Salmon with a blood orange reduction. Great stuff! Well after the meal I went out to smoke while the ladies kibitzed a bit. Took pictures of a wonderful display of cornflowers along the front of the restaurant. And then I noticed the setting sun on the church across the way. So I shot away and came up with this. Happy Birthday, Bev!!!

Post: Ooooh tough one. Not quite sure how I got it this way, but lately I haven't had to worry! LOL!

Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue saturation. Tried a gradient layer....hmmm....that I have no Idea how to do so it must not have worked. Tried playing with curves...big time...but it ended up looking like a kid's coloring book picture. Tried a warming filter. Oy....Nothing! Then I gave it a boost of Nik Color Efex Pro 2.0 Brilliance and Warmth and that sort of did the trick with a boost from a curves adjustment. Cloned out a TV atenna that was in the center of the 4 cross towers of the church. Appeared to be a lot of dust or something to the right of the finished image so it was cloned out but eventually cropped altogether. Once the final crop was decided, I cloned out a small clumped of the trees on the lower mid left. Sharpen. Resize. Sharpen.

this is totally awesome .. love the silhouette ... the suggested trees and of course that amazing sky .. i dont know wot the title means unfortunately ..
just googled the title and wot a fitting title it is!!! “May eternal light shine upon them" .. and sorry but the title boosts this from 8 to 10 ..!! .. i say sorry, coz i'm voting not only on the image but the combination of the image with its title, and of course how well it fits the challenge ..
