This was taken on the Chesapeake Bay. I wanted to take some time lapse photography through the night to add to my collection (//www.championpics.com/Portfolio/Pages/Movies.asp?Movie=GolfCourse). When I woke up in the morning I found I had captured 3 lighting strikes in the bay.

Quite striking! It is difficult to get the surroundings properly exposed with a shot like this. Cropping more of the bottom of your picture will eliminate some of the distracting elements and keep the eye on the lightning bolt.

Great lightening capture! In terms of the technicals though it could do with a levels adjustment to bring in a better contrast. I think a tighter crop would have helped as there is a lot of empty space on the right.

It woould have been cool to crop so only the lightning was in the picture, but great capture
