I had expected to see this rank much higher - you have captured a very evocatively dream-like image, as though looking back at childhood from a very, very long way away. You may missed the mark with the bulk of the voters, but you connected with me

Wow. I just came back to this...and I'm looking at it on a different computer...and it's not too dark here...I really like it now. It's very dream like. Nicely done.

Posthumous Blue Ribbon. Not only is it a staggering photo, but the selective desaturation is a necessary part of the effect. 10 (you have to share the blue ribbon with "Kiss." it's a tie)

The combination of b&w, red, and soft focus work well together.

it's so dark and blurry that it's kind of hard to tell what I'm looking at.

Dreamlike quality is very nice - almost as though the horse doesn't really exist and you can only see it if you close your eyes.

Very dark. Hard to see the details. What you can see looks quite soft. I don't get the choice for desat...

This is very cool...but it's a little too dark for me.

I really like the post processing on this, it has a very "dreamy" feel to it.

This is sort of a bit splotchy. Lots of dark and your subject isn't standing out real well.
