 Yes, it's grainy. I started by using ISO 1600. It was still too dark, so I used a flash without changing the ISO. He really doesn't like to have his picture taken, so I had to make sure he was not distracted. If I could get him to cooperate, I would move the chair in the background, set up my tripod, not use flash, etc. I still like the pose, so here it is!

This works just fine. I like the grain in it. And it shows the dog in his environment, next to the chair, looking out the window. A more setup shot might not be this real and engaging. In fact, the more I look at this, the more I really, really like it!
